ARIADNE

A New Play by Richard Colley

Ariadne is a Modern take on an Ancient Myth. Retelling the story of Theseus and The Minotaur, Ariadne swings the focus to the young princess who sacrificed everything, her way of life, her family, her safety and wealth,to help Theseus on his quest. The story examines the true place of people- from the heroes to those left in the shadows- and the ways that women have been stripped down to single use tools in legend. Bursting with charm and anger and heartbreak, Ariadne has a story to tell, and she hopes you’ll listen.
